For a leading German multinational engineering and technology company operating in India since 1922, this meant reimagining warehousing as a strategic enabler for nationwide distribution.

With a diverse portfolio spanning mobility, industrial technology, consumer goods, and energy & building technology, the customer required warehousing services capable of supporting complex inbound flows, multi-location distribution, and high SKU volumes, while addressing on-ground operational challenges.

Driving Efficiency with Technology-Enabled Warehousing Solutions

As part of our contract logistics solutions, we manage warehousing operations at the customer’s Central Distribution Centre (CDC), supplying materials to six locations across India. Inbound shipments arriving from Germany, China, and domestic manufacturing plants.

Through our technology-enabled warehousing solutions, we manage monthly volumes of approximately 1,450 outbound cases and around 200 inbound cases.

We implemented an end-to-end warehousing solutions focused on operational discipline, vendor governance, and digital enablement.
The approach began with transitioning to a new business associate vendor capable of ensuring adequate manpower availability and the required skill sets. Security operations were strengthened through the appointment of an enhanced security vendor, supported by stricter checks and tighter compliance measures.
To address inventory challenges, a detailed root cause analysis was conducted to identify the drivers of shortages and excess movements, enabling corrective actions at the process level.
Technology played a critical role in driving efficiency. The Intrac application was deployed to track vehicles awaiting loading, optimise dock allocation, and improve turnaround times. In parallel, the SDX platform enabled real-time scanning and uploading of invoices, improving visibility, accuracy, and control across transactions.
