Mr. Ranu Vohra is the Co-founder and Executive Vice Chairman of Avendus Group, where he spearheads strategic initiatives and fosters key relationships that drive the company’s growth. With over three decades of experience, Ranu has navigated the evolving landscape of the Indian financial sector—from the early dot-com era to the dynamic potential of a digital India. Ranu’s journey into the financial services world began with his co-founding of Coolstartups.com, a pioneering platform that connected startups with essential resources. What began as a modest operation above a garage in Mumbai in 1999 eventually laid the foundation for Avendus. Avendus is today a leading financial services firm, offering a diverse range of solutions across Investment Banking, Institutional Equities, Wealth Management, Credit Solutions, and Asset Management.

Before Avendus, Ranu honed his skills with stints at Communications Equity Associates (CEA), a technology and media investment bank based in Tampa, USA, and Hinduja Finance, a diversified financial services firm.

Ranu holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi, and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He is also deeply involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, served between 2023 – 2025 as the President of TiE Mumbai, an organization dedicated to nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs. Additionally, he is a member of the Advisory Board for the IIT Delhi Endowment Management Foundation.
